White Oaks Bayamo

White Oaks Bayamo

Bayamo is an International Pleasure & Performance Champion Pure Puerto Rican Stallion. He has a perfectly cadenced soft Pure Puerto Rican gait. This horse is multi-talented excelling in trail, endurance, game, performance and pleasure riding. Bayamo has both size and beauty, over 15 hands tall with excellent confirmation. He is the son of Turabo and Maria Juana B, both champions in their own right. Bayamo is line bred Battalia/Guamani, bred to be a breeding stallion. Don't miss this chance to infuse some good old fashion Puerto Rican beauty and gait into your breeding program. This horse is a product of the greatest of the Puerto Rican Foundation Sires. Not just a pretty horse, this is a rider's horse who can beat Arabs at endurance, quarter-horses at timed game events or go all day on dense trails or busy highways.

White Oaks Bayamo was bred by Jeanne Maust. It was in a little town called Gibbon Glade PA. This town is not far from where the first registry of Paso Fino  in the US had been founded, The American Paso Fino Horse Association.  Jeanne, after much thought and study of pedigrees decided to breed a great horse. She leased the best Pure Puerto Rican mare she could find. Maria Juana B  was the perfect mare. Stormy , she is affectionally called. Stormy exemplified all the characteristics the Puerto Rican breeders labored so long to preserve. This little horse was Jeanne Mausts dream Paso Fino. Now she needed a great stallion to achieve her goal.

No other, than the island Champion Turabo would do. Turabo was born in Puerto Rico . This great horse was the grandson of the infamous Kofresi. Turabo was imported to the US, knocking everyone dead with his awesome fino. At fourteen, he still was Bella Forma (beautiful form). He proved this when he again took the International Championship Bella Forma stallions trophy Columbia, SC .

With two champions of greatness, Bayamo was born.

The legacy lives on.

Kenneth Utz and Warren Hull are the people in charge. I believe that Kenneth Utz is the registrar. He is very helpful. Most of the horses are of the older bloodlines and the Puerto Rican imports since that was what came here first. There were very few Columbiano Pasos in the beginning in their registry.
